The photographer was trying to shoot two young women (unidentified, but I think the one on the left is Miss Nickel Plate), and while he botched the focus, he accidentally gave us a good view of the house that once stood behind Hobart's public library, the house that was long ago demolished for a parking lot.

On the same page, another botched picture. Again, no identification, but I think we're still looking at attendees of the Epworth League convention, June 1918 (and I think that's Miss Nickel Plate again, at left in front).
