I remember this store being run by sweet couple (I thought) from Germany. My parents used to buy my saddle shoes there--I hated them--I wanted to wear patent leather. I can still remember the smell of that shop. . .
If that store has been continuously operating since 1918, it's probably the oldest current business in Hobart. At least I can't think of any older...
