Remember Charles Gernenz and his domestic difficulties in 1901? Now we've gotten to 1909, and apparently life is going more smoothly for him: all he has to complain of these days is that some of his mangel-wurzels weigh 15 pounds.
Oh, wait, he's not complaining — he's bragging. And he says he intends to raise four acres of them in 1910. That's a lot of wurzel-mangeling. Good luck, Charles!
