(Leon Rhodes? Never heard of him. But this is the News, a paper not remarkable for its attention to detail; maybe the reporter heard someone say "Lee 'n' Rhodes" and thought that was one of the partners.)

So Mr. Rhodes has made his entrance. But that's a nice ad by Mr. Bruce--looks like he knew some the competition was coming.
(I like the ad by the House of Muscat--their motto--Live and let live???)
I guess the House of Muscat was trying to be the no-pressure furniture place, kind of like Carmax today advertising that "no haggle" policy.
I wonder what relations were like between the two ex-plumbing-partners? Friendly competitors, or hated each other's guts? :) We'll probably never know...
