Pretty, but evil. They have thorns. They spread like wildfire. You can't kill them. They will take over your field unless you constantly fight them. Turn your back and they will take over your yard.

And the berries aren't even that good.

I'm operating on Summer Posting Time these days. I can't manage one daily substantive post. You're going to have to put up with a lot of wildflowers and artsy-fartsy fotos.

What I learned on my last computer break was that an eight-year-old computer can't be rejuvenated as much as I'd like. So I had to order a new one, which has just arrived. And I am now going to try to install it, so you may never hear from me again. But that doesn't mean I'll be gone. I'll be everywhere — everywhere you look. Wherever people are in over their heads, I'll be there. I'll be in the way people jump to conclusions based on scanty evidence — I'll be in the way people psychoanalyze folks they've never met. And whenever folks can't call a thing by the same name twice, and index their material inconsistently — I'll be there, too.
