Two Cards from the Chicago Kid

From the steamer trunk.

I don't know who Helen Conrad was, but Minnie kept two postcards from her, both talking about intended visits to the Rossow home, so I gather they were good friends.

The first was mailed December 22, 1911:

The exact date of the second isn't clear, but the year is 1912:





(There is nothing to indicate what body of water that is.)

The 1910 Census shows a Helen Conrad of Minnie's age living at 5254 S. Ashland Ave. in Chicago — a possibility, but I don't know for sure.
