Handwritten on the back of this charming scene is this confusing identification:
BackNow, if this really is 1920, Mable Schavey is on the far right. But I'm not entirely sure this is 1920 — those dresses, with their dropped waists, flat lines and high hems, look more like the mid-1920s (by which time Mable would have been a Breyfogle). But then again, for a family day at the beach, people wouldn't be too awfully concerned about how fashionable or correct their attire was.
