There's a handwritten caption and a description that should be stuck behind the photo … but there's no photo. And how I would have loved to see that ball game.

This is on the same page as this photo of the Sauter/Wollenberg place in Ainsworth, which we've see before, but are now going to see again. Because I love it!



The handwritten note behind that one reads:

Wollenberg Place
Summer 1918

I think these guys have just gotten through playing a game of baseball and have gone to Wollenberg's for soft drinks.
