From the Indiana Plat Book Collection in the Digital Collections of IUPUI University Library, here we have an excerpt from Vol. 3 of Plat Book of Indiana Counties (Lombard, Illinois: Sidwell Studio, 1925?-1941?). Concerning the uncertain date, the website explains:
...[T]he publisher neglected to date the publication. Approximate dates have been surmised by Indiana State Library staff members, considering other dated maps and atlases from the time period.I'm posting this for what it's worth, which isn't much — it's not very illuminating because of the dating problem. At any rate, I can see that my property is in the hands of a Chester, although not the same Chester as in 1939.
