Here is another view of Hobart's water tower … watching over an alien landscape, in another world and another time.

Wow. Thanks for publishing my picture. That was such a beautiful serene morning.
Thanks for sending me the picture! It's all the more interesting because you noted down exactly when you took it. Being out and about at 4:15 in the morning is ... something else. I don't think I've actually experienced that since I was a teenager and I stayed awake out on the porch all night until sunrise just to see if I could do it. :)
He was a teenager when he took it...
Yes, that's generally the time of life when we are able to experience 4:15 in the morning. :)
Thank you both, great picture, and blog is amazing as always!
I should say, when I was working graveyard shift (1990s) I went through 4:15 in the morning a lot, but it isn't the same when you're in an office lit up by fluorescent lights and you're just working to meet deadlines. :)
I was 15 that summer and taking a lot of pictures. That is also how I happened to be able to ride my bike over to the Hobart Gazette, where I was doing photo work, grab the camera, and take pictures of the (first) fire at the Amber Lake apartments.
You could have your own photo blog. :)
