One way to answer such questions is to go to the Lake County GIS site. You have to zoom in about to the point where you can see automobiles on the street; then you will find that the names of additions and subdivisions show up. This is the most up-to-date listing. The downside to using the GIS site is that you have to do a lot of mousing around in search of the name you want. And if your question arose from an old abstract or article, you don't care about recent additions/subdivisions.
As an alternative, I have scanned a 1960 map at the Hobart Historical Society museum showing the additions/subdivisions to that point. It's so large I had to scan it in sections. Then I alphabetized all the names (as best I could read them) and created the list below, where each link takes you to the general area of the map where the addition or subdivision you're looking for is. From that point you have to do a little searching, but not as much as on the GIS site.
