For the past two or three years I have noticed that after I mow a certain spot in my backyard, a bunch of hyperactive little bees fly around just above the grass for some time afterward. Couldn't figure out why. Just recently I finally caught one of them coming out of its burrow in the ground. Once I knew to look for burrows, I found others. So it seems I've been mowing over their neighborhood.

The Picture Insect app tells me they are miner bees, but they move so fast it's hard to get a good picture of them.
If getting run over by a mower on a weekly basis for two or three summers hasn't persuaded them to relocate yet, I don't think they ever will.
